Glass Flowers at Harvard Museum of Natural History →
Visited this exhibit today These really have to be seen to be believed - no description can do them justice. 50 years of the most painstaking art by a father-son team, using pre-industrial tools. Also amazed by the huge collection of natural crystals in the room next door.

Get this release for a Tweet!
23% Bicycle… captures the BSC shortly after an intense series of performances at the Phoneme Festival, a three-night event in Philadelphia featuring members of the band in a series of small groups followed by full BSC sets each evening. My solo set from Saturday night in Somerville.
things that could be worse
The clutter on my writing desk
The clutter in my car
The invisible knife in my right shoulder blade
Team Canada’s medal count - not owning the podium but not bad so far
Google Buzz - still more creepy than useful right now, but we’ll see
my writing pace, which is pretty much on schedule
my haircut
things that kinda suck
My downstairs neighbors, who seem to hate each other and have parties to celebrate that fact.
Things that are cool
Gimme Coffee in the morning, all the way up here in Boston
5th floor view of a very sunny snowy Southie
The fact that it’s still only 8:30ish
Being able to respond to my own last-night frownies with a smile morning
March 2010
Things which weary me
Inability to concentrate
Paying for the privilege of being a graduate student
Writing under absurd though reality-driven deadlines (see item #2)
Not making enough music
Not making enough video
Not drawing
Lack of ice cream in the house (my fault)
My academic institution
Academia
Intellectuals
Anti-intellectuals
Getting rusty on things I used to be very good at
Complaining (oops)
Not...
